Tim and Janessa crossed paths in 2010 when they were serving a the same ministry in the small city of Gulu in Northern Uganda. They were married in 2012 and knew they would eventually end up in Uganda and officially made the move in 2016 with their 12-month old son.

Since that time, they have created a home on the Cultivate Discipleship Ministry site in the the village of Koch Goma and are in the adoption process for two of their children.

Alex has been a huge part in transforming the bush covered land into a ministry site. He is a mason by trade and pastors a church in Gulu. All of our buildings were built under his leadership and we are so blessed to have him on our team.

Pastor Alex is also actively involved in curriculum development and one of the teachers discipling those who attend our discipleship program.
Teacher
Raymond has served as a pastor and is currently leading a house church. He has been a part of Cultivate Discipleship since 2021. His heart for discipling others is very evident in the way he cares for the students and those he helps to disciple.
Administrator
Betty as been involved in Cultivate Discipleship since April 2019. She is a valued team member and keeps us organized as we constantly learn how to operate as a non-profit ministry here in Uganda.
Betty brings 15 years of experience working with various NGO's (Non-Government Organization) and we are so blessed to have her serving alongside us.
Site Manager
Ocen has been a part of our farming and grounds keeping team since 2019. He is responsible for helping lead our students in learning the Farming God’s Way method and techniques. He manages the day to day farming work, land upkeep and makes his home right here at the Discipleship Center.
Farm Manager
Opyio is our neighbor and joined our staff in 2019 and is a valuable asset to our team. He is both hard working and kind - working alongside Ocen in both the garden and around the compound as a part of our farming crew.
Kitchen Staff
Jennifer and Florence are an important part of the Cultivate Discipleship team. They are responsible for preparing each meal our students and staff eat, along with cleaning the rooms and area so everyone can enjoy our space.
Missionaries
Emma and Rosemary are two wonderful and faithful followers of the Lord. They have demonstrated a heart for discipling and raising others up.
They are currently serving in a primarily Muslim area of Uganda in Yumbe.

Geoffrey and his wife Nancy, both attended our year-long discipleship program in 2023. They had known each other beforehand, but throughout that year began a deeper relationship and graduated in February 2024.
They are now serving the Lord in Abim. With a passion for discipleship and farming, Geoffrey is building relationships and discipling others within his community.

Alan is a pastor at PCU and was a discipleship student in our first graduation. He and his wife Barbara have two children and have a heart for discipleship. Alan has taken what he learned in the year long discipleship program and shared with those in his church.
